So, I have never had any trouble raising money for SCA efforts, but find myself feeling a bit akward at raising money for something more personal....but here goes... I am very excited to be Mrs. Louisiana International and headed to the Mrs. International Pageant in July, but I need help to get there! I need to raise $2000.00 for fees and travel expenses. If you are so inclined, you can donate via pay-pal or check. I have started a webpage: http://www.housefleurandermine.com/Mrs_L We now return to your regularly scheduled live-journal ;-) We are super busy trying to get ready for our trip to Disney. My folks are treating our family to the trip as our Christmas gift. We are all reallllly excited. The kids have never been, and Brian and I have not been since our honey moon. We will be there Sunday! So looking forward to it!!! Hope everyone has an amazing holiday season! MENG |

Yes, last post...33 weeks ago. Wow..it's been busy around here. Hope everyone has been doing well and had an awesome holiday. We had a rockin' household 12th Night last weekend and had Household members from all over here for the weekend. It was really nice.....but this weekend starts the insane schedule leading up to Gulf Wars. The planning is going okay,...the expected hiccups here and there, but we have a great staff and things are coming together. Hope to see a lot of our friends from all over at Gulf Wars this year. For my Atlantia friends, I will be at Ymir next month! Woo hoo! Really looking forward to seeing everyone and being there. Our kids are totally amazing and keep us running in circles. It sometimes sucks to be outnumbered, but there is no limit to the amount of entertainment they provide us with, that is for sure! My folks got us a Wii for Christmas and we spent much of the holiday wiinjured.....if you have a wii, you know what I mean. I got obsessed with my Wii fitness age and have gotten it down from the social security range to 27. I am a mean Wii bowler ;-)!!!! So, for catching-up with photos... Grace's 6th BDay Party in Sept: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco Fall Gleann Abhann Coronation in Oct: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco Trip to Poland for Work: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco Trip to the pumpkin patch and the park: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco Gleann Abhann Fall Crown Tournament: share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8 Christmas Card Photo Session...Alex is going through this odd phase where he like dances around and sticks his tongue out and stuff when we try to take his picture and he does this dance that looks EXACTLY like Elaine from Seinfeld dancing...it is so funny. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco It actually snowed here a few weeks ago..it was NUTS!!!! Of course it was right back our normal 70's within a few days..here are the fun photos from that: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco Grace's Christmas Program, the Kids going to see Santa and Chuck-E-Cheese, and the Christmas insanity http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco

Totally forgot to say how AWESOME it was having Lisette and Gaston here....and it was insane having all the kids there too, but they had a blast! The twins even camped out in their own tent on Friday night and slept really well....although it is not something we plan on doing often!!!! 4 of them means they can go in 4 directions at once!! UGH! okay...nighty night for meng..... |

Has it really been two months since I posted....wow! Well first off, updated pictures..... http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welco These are from Easter and Alex's Birthday. We took the whole crew to the Aquarium to celebrate Alex turning 3! WOW! 3!! Can you beleive it? Hannah and Sarah will be 2 on May 30th, and that blows my mind too. There are some adorable pics of them climbing down a step together at my Mom's house and it looks like they are doing a dance move. It is too funny! Anyway, made it through working as staff at Gulf Wars, and while I was really exhausted when it was all said and done, I felt good about helping my Kingdom put on the War. It was one the best in recent memory, I think. The weather cooperated better than almost any Gulf Wars I can remember, we had 16 of the 19 Kingdoms represented, which was amazing, and I got to see quite a few of my Atlantian friends (even if it was just me waving from speeding Golf Cart! :-D ). I also got to hold the premier tournament for my fledgling tournament company, The Company of St. Katherine. It went really well, I think. And then I survived Autocratting Coronation this past weekend. I was really happy with how smoothly everything went, and everyone really pitched in. It was a really nice event. and it was odd to have it be the first Coronation (except for the premier Coronation) since we moved here that we were not stepping up or stepping down. Although since I have taken on the role as Deputy Kingdom Chamberlain (Regailia Officer) I still had the joy of doing the Royal Invetory turn over for two hours. Really looking forward to having Gaston and Lisette here for Crown List. Should be loads of fun. Work is still going well, and I recovered very well from my hysterectamy only to find out that I have a compressed, bulging disc in my lower back, so I have started 6 weeks of PT for that. I am happy, though that I am soooo close to my weight-loss goal. I am finally back in a size 8 (actually fit into a couple of size 6 items recently) w00t!!!!! Feels like it has been years since I have felt like I was not living in someone else's body...oh...wait....is HAS been years! :-D But I am finally getting there. I will try to be better about writing, and espeically posting pictures :-)! MG |

Thanks to all of our friends who have been so supportive to Havorc during this time. I know that despite his reason for his trip to VA., the opportunity to spend time with friends helped a lot. |

Here is us bathing the herd and getting them all cute in Christmas clothes to try and take a picture of them all together.....HA! Yeah right share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8 We ended up with 4 individual shots again....between Grace trying to vogue and Alex only wanting to sit with Grace and then grace making Sarah cry by touching her hat, and then Hannah having a runny nose.....wow it was fun :-). Good thing they are soooo darned cute! I have surgery on Wednesday, so everyone say a little prayer for me and for my darling hubby who has to put up with a whiney me in addition to 4 kids! |
